Get ready for Fashion Week Cape Town 2017

Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Cape Town 2017 will take place from 23- 25 March 2017, once again showing off the new, inspiring creations by top South African designers.

This year the event will take place in Camps Bay at the Camps Bay Sports Complex, where fashion lovers get to rub shoulders, and draw inspiration from fellow creatives in the industry. It is always exciting to see how our local designers are adding their own flavour to the fashion scene, introducing style that uniquely reflects our cultural landscape.

The event will kick off with a glitzy launch party showcasing the designer lineup as well as iconic moments from the past decade of MBFW. You’ll get to meet the masterminds behind the upcoming runway shows while sipping on stylish cocktails, and enjoying unplugged sessions from top Cape Town musicians in the Experience AFI lounge.

The Experience AFI lounge will also be open to guests between shows, a space where you can relax, chat about the new collections, and grab a bite from the artisinal food vendors.

Furthermore you can look forward to The Designer Boutique and Privé platform, where you’ll be able to peruse Pan-African pieces, with a carefully curated and designed collection of fusion fabrics and eclectic accessories.

MAC and ghd will once more take over backstage, and they will offer a makeup station and blow dry bar for guests where you can have touch ups done and experience their new products.

In addition, there will be an array of activations to keep you engaged, including building a Polaroid photo wall with snapshots of the entire experience. With complimentary social Wi-Fi and charging stations, you’ll be able to snap shots of yourself and your friends, and curate content for your social media platforms.
