Lookbook: To the Karoo

We have officially entered long weekend season which means it is time to pack those bags and head off to an isolated nook of our country.

This past weekend we spent some time in the Karoo, popping in at KKNK and discovering the backroads of the area. Whenever you’re travelling that way it is worth taking the scenic route – Route 62. This takes you through a string of picturesque platteland towns and through some of the most gorgeous valleys and mountain passes you’ll find in South Africa.

Inspired by the open road and wide horizons, I put this lookbook together.

This jacket by K-Way is beautiful but also functional if you’re a frequent traveler. It is extremely lightweight, stuffed with sustainably-sourced down feathers, and it rolls up to the size of a pencil case. I am also particularly excited about these Jeep Gecko shoes, made from Nubuck leather and sturdy enough to take you down many a winding road.

That jacket is awesome. Feather light but super snug. Perfect for trips into the Karoo this winter!
