Montblanc seduces with Lady Emblem Elixir + GIVEAWAY

A beautiful fragrance is one of my ultimate pleasures.

It is also an intensely personal thing. Most people are very specific about the type of scent they love, with certain emotions conjured by certain notes. I adore anything with white florals because it reminds me of the first flowers my husband bought me when we just started dating. Or warm spices because it draws on my love for cooking comforting curries and stews, with the scent of cinnamon, ginger and turmeric drifting through my home. And whenever I travel overseas I purchase a new perfume, one I have never worn before, and afterward the scent will bring back all the memories and emotions from that time. Your fragrance tells so many stories.

Montblanc has introduced their new Lady Emblem Elixir Eau de Parfum, which won me over with sensual Damask rose, honey and soft vanilla. This variant captures a different side of the Lady Emblem woman. She is simple and chic, calm but passionate, with a minimalist dress and hair swept up in a casual twist.

I think this is such an elegant, attractive fragrance. At first you get a green note that reminds me of damp grass, tender stems and floral buds opening with the sun. This is followed by a wave of honey, sweet spices and soft Damask rose.

The top notes make way for a deeper iris accord, melting into lychee and orange blossom. And finally it settles into a trail of vanilla, sandalwood and patchouli, with a hint of black pepper that gives it an interesting warmth.

The Lady Emblem bottle has been designed to resemble the 43-faceted Montblanc diamond, with the iconic 6-point star capping the golden liquid. And to to add a grander sense of luxury and opulence, Lady Emblem Elixir has been dipped in a rose gold metal, fading from the diamond tip to the top.

You’ll like this one if you enjoy clean, fresh floral fragrances with a soft, slightly spicy finish. Go try it out at Foschini, Truworths, Edgars and let me know what you think.
