A new Danish ad for TV 2 has been getting viral traction online, and for all the right reasons. They start the video by placing different types of people into different categories – those you see as dangerous, ignorent, old, different from yourself. But then they start to ask questions like “who was the class clown”, “who has been bulied”, “who believes in an afterlife” and pretty soon the clear boundaries between the groups begin to blur.

It is very easy to stereotype people who you don’t know, but in truth we all have something in common if we would just take the trouble to find our similarities. Or maybe we don’t, but we can still celebrate our differences.

It is a powerful message and I hope many millions more watch it. These days we need love to trump hate.
