Spring/Summer is the perfect time to embrace the prettiest pink manicures, whether you’re into soft pastels, classic nudes or hot neons.
Personally I like to take my cue for nail colours from things in my surrounds that make me happy. A pretty pastel shade might make me think of a perfect macaron on a high tea spread, or a bold fuschia might bring up those bright wildflowers blooming in springtime. From fruit blossoms to sunsets, these seasons deliver the most beautiful shades to inspire us.
I’ve rounded up four of my favourite shades from the Sally Hansen Complete Salon Manicure Collection. I’ve always been a huge fan of Sally Hansen – their Complete Care treatment is still my go-to base and top coat for a long-wear mani and stain-free nails. Their polishes are super easy to work with, with a lovely broad brush and intense colour from the first coat. I also find they last really well when applied right.
Looking for your next shade? Here are a few I’m loving.
Prettiest pastel: Sally Hansen Complete Salon Manicure in Aflorable
This shade is like icing on a cupcake meets candy floss meets soft clouds at sunset. It is so pretty, girly and fun.
Pumped-up pink: Sally Hansen Complete Salon Manicure in Back to the Fuchsia
I adore hot pinks for summer. They take me to tropical destinations with hot afternoons and cool cocktails. This shade is a fierce pop of colour and absolutely fantastic.
Juiced up: Sally Hansen Complete Salon Manicure in Kook a Mango
This colour is somewhere between hot pink and bright orange, and it makes me think of a tropical sunset. Pair it with a crisp white linen dress and straw hat.
A classic nude
When in doubt, you can’t go wrong with a classic nude. This shade is just the right blend of cool, soft pink tones for a sophisticated finish.
