Save the date for the inaugural Franschhoek Craft Festival this November, celebrating curated, handcrafted and local produce from the valley.

Craft is definitely one of the new buzz words running around these days. For most of us when we think craft we think about small companies, skilled artisans doing things by hand or using traditional methods.

This November Franschhoek will celebrate this trend with the very first Craft Festival, where you find a curated selection of handcrafted food and drink as well as limited edition pieces across jewellery, art and leather goods.

You can look forward to a great selection of local wine, Cap Classique, craft brews and small batch spirits, and when you get peckish you can try the famed artisan charcuterie and bread platters from Moreson’s Bread & Wine restaurant, or nibble from a variety of artisan food producers who will offer cheese, pastries, chocolate and more.

“This will be hands-down the best showcase of all South Africa’s local craft-producers,”  promises Môreson General Manager, Nikki Friedman. “I’m excited not because people are making craft goods, but that there are doing them so fabulously. Come see for yourself.”

The festival will also include live music, making it a fun day out for the entire family.

Date: 5 November

Venue: Môreson Wine Estate, Franschhoek

Tickets: R180pp,

I am a lifestyle blogger from Cape Town trying to find the best ways to spend my time, take care of my body and express myself. I am slightly obsessed with fragrances, sneakers, Jamie Oliver and Masterchef Australia. Oh, and I probably drink way too much wine.
