Heritage Day is the perfect opportunity to come together with all your favourite people, light a fire and celebrate the one thing all South Africans love to do: Braai. And for those who aren’t able to kick back in own backyard, there are plenty of tempting events happening around the winelands. Make the most of the spring weather, pristine scenery and world-class culinary spots.

Heritage Day Farm Feast at Boschendal, Franschhoek

Celebrate Heritage Day at Boschendal with a market-style event that promises to entertain all. Guests can indulge in top class produce prepared at multiple food stands. Grab a plate and join the long table stretched between the trees, or find a spot on the lawns. A variety of live musical acts will entertain throughout the day and kids can look forward to a puppet show, face painting and pony rides. The event runs from 13:00 – 15:00 at R750pp or R350 for children under 10. For more info, visit boschendal.com

I am a lifestyle blogger from Cape Town trying to find the best ways to spend my time, take care of my body and express myself. I am slightly obsessed with fragrances, sneakers, Jamie Oliver and Masterchef Australia. Oh, and I probably drink way too much wine.
