Hello 2020. Nice having you! We already have a bunch of reasons to be excited having you as part of our adventure. You are bringing loads of huge names that gave us some hints on new albums coming our way. From debut albums made by new musicians to the return of acts that we just can’t seem to get enough of. Whatever you hold, 2020, it’s going to be a big music year.

Here is some of the new music you can dance to in February 2020:

1. Tame Impala, The Slow Rush

Save the date: 14 February

The Slow Rush is the fourth LP from  the pen of Kevin Parker and he returns to what he loves most: drums. You can listen to the hazy “It Might Be Time”, the vibey “Borderline” and the six-minute rock jam “Posthumous Forgiveness on the pre-release album on all streaming platforms just to keep you going until the entire album will release just in time to celebrate the love.

2. Grimes, Miss Anthropocene

Save the date: 21 February

Grimes shared the song “ So Heavy I Fell Through the Earth” from the record that is due in February. You can expect 10 tracks, varying from a corny love song to chav jam and nu-metal. You can wait for the album while listening to the six minute “So Heavy I Fell Through the Earth” as well as the radio mix of four minutes on all streaming platforms.

3. Green Day, Father Of All Motherfu*ckers

Save the date: 7 February

Do punk rockers ever grow up? Frontman Billie Joe Armstrong and the boys that carried us through our teen years certainly don’t think so! You can expect the shortest Green Day album ever, one which is influenced by Kendrick Lamar, at a mere 26 minutes. Prepare yourself for lighting speed from the fathers of all….

4. The 1975, Notes on a Conditional Form

Save the date: 21 February

For a year now I have had the 1975 fever because of last year’s album, “A Brief Inquiry into Online Relationship.” Luckily for me and so many Matt Healy fans out there, the antidote for this fever comes in the form of “Notes on a Conditional Form.” You can expect a full-length album that consists of bold and brave 22 tracks. In this album you can expect a lot of world events that are transcribed into electrifying music.

The VaaIie girl with a laugh better than the joke itself. If you’ve lost me in the crowd, look for the red hat. Or the shoulder pads. Or the floral-patterned blazer. I’ve got a winner of a party trick, just give me a shot of tequila and a raw egg, and if you’re not sure how to start the conversation, don’t worry. I’ve got you covered.
