Pet-friendly getaways in the Western Cape

Finding a pet-sitter and leaving your pet behind might be the most difficult part of going on holiday. Luckily we’ve compiled a list of pet-friendly getaways in the Western Cape, which means Fido is more than welcome to tag along on the adventure.

Beaverlac

If Fido enjoys camping as much as you do, then the Beaverlac camping site situated in Porterville is the right place for your next camping trip. With hiking trails, rock pools and the opportunity to fish or cycle, there are plenty of activities for you and your pup to enjoy. Dogs of all sizes are welcome and the on-site shop even stocks tins of dog-food.
Make sure to have cash on hand when you arrive, as they work on a cash-only basis.

Linquenda Chambre d’Hote B&B

With two talented chef owners, staying for breakfast at the Linquenda Chambre d’Hote B&B in Villiersdorp is a definite must. Best of all, the eggs are courtesy of the chickens wandering the spacious gardens. Small, well-behaved dogs are welcome to accompany their owners, as long as they play nice with the dogs, cats, tortoises and chickens who call this home. This house, built in 1925, offers fantastic views of the mountain, as well as a beautiful interior.
