The Italians know a thing or two about food. So if they say pizza and wine go together, who am I to argue? Also, I really, really love pizza, and I really, really love wine, which is why I am seriously excited about the Pizza & Wine Festival heading to the Stellenbosch winelands in April.

Taking place at Vergenoegd Wine Estate in Stellenbosch from 21 and 22 April, you can expect a variety of pizzas, ranging from gourmet to traditional, Flamenkuchen to Calzones. This can be paired with a selection of fine wines from various estates in the region. See if you can find your perfect match.

The festival promises to be a great outing for the entire family, with plenty of space on the sprawling lawns, fun activities for the kids and the ever-popular runner duck parade.

Date & time: 21 – 22 April, 11:00 – 16:00

Tickets are R60 for children, including entry, free candy floss and kids entertainment, and R180 per adult. Adult tickets includes entry, a complimentary tasting glass and five wine tasting coupons. Additional wine tasting coupons can be purchased on the day.

VIP tickets cost R300 each, which includes entry, a complimentary tasting glass, unlimited offerings of The Runner Duck White, Red or Rosé wines, exclusive seating area and wine buckets on the tables to ensure your wine stays chilled at all times.

Free, secure parking is available on site.

I am a lifestyle blogger from Cape Town trying to find the best ways to spend my time, take care of my body and express myself. I am slightly obsessed with fragrances, sneakers, Jamie Oliver and Masterchef Australia. Oh, and I probably drink way too much wine.
