Recipe: My Springtime Raspberry Smoothie Bowl

Move over overnight oats, it’s officially time to whip up your favourite smoothie bowl again. This Instagram-worthy breakfast is not only packed with a ton of nutrients, but the options are endless. And did I mention it’s super yummy? You can enjoy it as a healthy breakfast, or a quick-and-easy afternoon snack. It has the refreshing texture of a smoothie, but with added toppings like granola, seeds, fresh fruits, coconut or nuts for extra nutrients and flavour.

Spring and summertime reminds me of colourful fruits, nuts and coconuts, which makes them the perfect ingredients for my spring smoothie bowl. This recipe reminds me of a getaway somewhere on a tropical island, with endless fruits, piña coladas and sunny days on the beach. Which is exactly where I would like to be right now.

Step up your breakfast game this spring with my go-to raspberry smoothie bowl recipe:

In your blender:

½ frozen banana
¼ cup frozen mango
¼ cup frozen raspberries
¼ cup fresh raspberries
½ cup almond milk
1 tbsp coconut shavings
1 tbsp chia seeds

Tip: For extra goodness, let your smoothie mixture rest in the fridge overnight. The chia seeds soak up a lot of moisture, which makes it more bio-available for your body. In short, it slows digestion which makes you feel full for longer.

Top it off with these yummy goodies:

-Fresh Raspberries
-Coconut shavings
-Chia seeds
-Fresh mango slices
