Enjoy a country-style picnic under the oaks in the beautiful gardens amid the vineyards at Grande Provence Heritage Wine Estate, from September to April. Allée Bleue’s “Chicnics” offer a lavish picnic food basket, which can be enjoyed in their fully serviced courtyard. A jungle gym, jumping castle, and sandpit will keep children amused for hours while you enjoy a leisurely lunch under the trees. The new “Picnics-on-the-Go” are aimed at the more casual diner and the food is presented in eco-friendly packaging. You can select your own private seating anywhere in the gardens, make yourselves comfy with camping chairs and picnic blankets, and unwind with friends or family. The kiddies picnic includes drinking yoghurt, a chicken mayo wrap, sweet potato crisps, cold meat and cheese and seasonal fruit; while the chicnic basket includes a beef bobotie pie, a roasted beef wrap, a bread, meat and cheese platter as well as the most delicious lemon posset.

The Boschendal Werf picnic is the estate’s more relaxed and informal picnic, which consists of fresh farm baked bread & butter, hummus, olives and a salad for starters, as well as rotisserie chicken served with garlic mayonnaise and camembert, and a lovely rose marshmallow and ice cream for dessert. Grab a spot under their lush canopy of trees and enjoy this wonderful treat with the whole family!
