Since turning the wrinkly age of 23 I’ve been (trying to be) better at looking after my skin. In high school I got by by using a mere face wash and moisturiser, and my naive, uneducated young self thought this was enough. Fast forward to 2020 and my slight addiction to YouTube tutorials has proved my habits wrong.
My skin has never been flawless, yet it has also never given me massive problems. But recently my skin has been acting up, be this my habit of constantly touching and picking at my skin or the adulting stress that has got the better of me. So when the opportunity from The Laser Beautique to come test out their new, Beau-Rejuve home facial device arose, I was first in line. Time for me to educate myself.
The idea of a home device interested me, as I could potentially use it while watching TV, aka Love is Blind on Netflix. I also don’t have the time (or money) to constantly go for facials, or spend an hour on my twice-daily skincare routine with products that I can’t afford.
What you need to know the Beau-Rejuve Device:
Anything that promotes good blood circulation helps to keep your skin healthy and vibrant. Our skincare products, like lotions, moisturisers and serums, can only work within the surface layers of our skin and typically do not reach the deeper layers of the skin. This is where the Beau-Rejuve comes in.
The Beau-Rejuve is a rechargeable facial device that is good for daily facial care, skin rejuvenation, skin toning, wrinkle removal, anti-aging, skin renewal, pimple and blemish removal, anti-allergy, the reduction of pore sizes, and increasing skin elasticity.
The Beau-Rejuve uses natural light waves which are transmitted by LEDs into the skin. The light activates photoreceptors in your skin cells, producing energy for absorption by skin components in order to beautify your complexion.
EMS (Electrical Muscle Stimulation) is used to activate the skin cell, stimulating the production of collagen to improve skin elasticity, soften wrinkles and leave skin looking smooth and healthy.
Radio Frequency uses the tissues’ natural resistance within the various layers of the skin to transform the RF energy applied to the skin into thermal energy. The converted thermal energy then stimulates the collagen cells to start reproducing collagen and elastin as needed.
The Beau-Rejuve has 7 different LED lights, each with their own target:
Red – An anti-aging function that enhances collagen regeneration within the skin.
Green – Inhibits the over production of melanin, and treats pigmentation and dark marks on the skin.
Blue – Kills off any bacteria that may cause acne.
Yellow – A revitalising light that is used to produce a glowing complexion in your skin.
Pink – Cell rejuvenation and assists in treating slow circulation leading to better cell renewal.
Infrared Flashing light – Assists the products to penetrate the deeper skin layers for amplified results through means of Mesotherapy.
The Beau-Rejuve uses Mesotherapy (a technique that tightens and rejuvenates the skin) as a delivery system to open the pores and push the serums and moisturisers further down into the skin, to feed your cells as needed. It is a painless process that uses a micro-current to gently stimulate the pores to open and close as needed. This therapy can also often be referred to as Electroporation and Mesoporation.
The Action De Gala Hydraplus Gel is used in the treatment as it is not only packed with fabulous ingredients but is also ionised, which increases stimulation and results.
Dewy, glowy and refreshed. That is how I felt after my Beau-Rejuve treatment.
I went for the orange revitaliser LED light. The orange light is used to give your skin a glow, in their own words it “adds complexity to dull, lifeless complexions”. I should probably add that this was recommended for me, so guess I this is them telling me I need to get more sleep and stop with the late night social media scrolling.
Because you know what they say, if you can’t glow up your life then glow up your face. Or something like that…
The Beau-Rejuve treatment itself was such a cool feeling. Before you get started you need to apply the ionised Action De Gala Hydraplus Gel to your face and neck; without it the device won’t work. Then the good stuff starts.
To me it felt like a deep, beneath-the-skin muscle massage. As the device rubs over your skin the muscles that it passes over spasm. It’s one of the most satisfying feelings you never knew you needed.
The device has different levels of intensity and automatically stops after 10 mins. According to the Beau-Rejuve, 10 minutes is all you need for the perfect glow up (or whichever treatment you’re feeling on the day). And trust me, after a few treatments your skin will be bouncing back faster than an Insta-boomerang.
I would totally recommend this product to someone who doesn’t have extensive time for their skincare routine, or the money for the 20 different products needed. This is a quick 10 minute “face workout” which should be used once a week, halving the time and money spent on skincare.
Before purchasing I would recommend first consulting with a Le Beautique aesthetician for a face analysis so that they can fully explain the product and recommend which settings would work best for your skin.
So a big thank you to The Laser Beautique for giving me the glow-up that I didn’t know I needed.
