It’s summer and that means the days are longer and hotter than ever. And if you’re like us, despite wanting beach-ready hair, it also means that you don’t want to spend hours in front of the mirror, and especially not fiddling with curling wands in this heat.

Luckily, with the help of the Jane Seymour Wonder Set, we’ve created two easy, fuss-free hairstyles. Here is the step-by-step guide on how we created an easy day look, as well as a stylish pull-through braid.

Summer Ready Hair with the Jane Seymour Wonder Set

Summer Day Look

For this day look, Jane Seymour’s Ultra Volume Mousse and Natural Hold Liquid Hairspray, available from Clicks, really helps to keep your hair’s texture and volume on point.

Step 1: Apply the Jane Seymour Ultra Volume Mousse to damp hair, being sure to apply from root to tip.

Step 2: Section your hair into two and braid each section into a three-strand braid.

Step 3: Spray the Jane Seymour Natural Hold Liquid Hairspray over each of the braids and allow to dry.

Step 4: When you’re ready to hit the road and head out to your beach day or brunch with the girls, undo each of the braids and run your fingers through them to loosen the waves. Don’t brush out the waves, as this will cause them to frizz.

Step 5: From just above each of your ears, select a strand of hair and tie them together with a clear elastic at the back of your head to create a loop.

Step 6: With one hand, hold the ponytail where the two strands meet, pull the tail end over the top and through the loop, using the other hand to guide the tail.

Step 7: To give more volume to the style, pinch strands on either side and fan them out slightly. Apply the Jane Seymour Natural Hold Liquid Hairspray once more when you’re done, and you’re ready to head out!

Pull-Through Braid

The days are longer, warmer and busier than ever, and no one has time to spend hours in front of a mirror making sure that their hair doesn’t turn into a disaster of fly-aways.

Jane Seymour’s Firm Hold Unscented Hairspray, available from Clicks, helps me transition from an easy day look to something simple but elegant.

Step 1: If you’re starting from scratch with this look, you’ll want to apply the Jane Seymour Volume Mousse to damp hair, being sure to create volume at the roots. If you’re starting with our previous day look you can skip to the next step.

Step 2: Using a clear elastic, tie a small ponytail at the crown of your head. Flip the tail forward and pin it out of the way.

Step 3: Right under the ponytail that you’ve just tied, tie a second ponytail.

Step 4: Unpin the first ponytail and separate it into two strands, casting each strand to either side of the second ponytail.

Step 5: Flip the second ponytail forward, between the two strands of the first ponytail, and pin it out of the way.

Step 6: Select new strands of hair on either side of the two sections and create a new ponytail with this hair and the previous ponytail. This will form the third ponytail.

Step 7: Repeat steps 5 and 6 until all your hair has been secured and the braid forms down your back.

Step 8: For more volume, pull sections of the braid to loosen the hair slightly, starting from the bottom of your braid.

Step 9: To secure fly-aways and keep your braid intact, apply the Jane Seymour Firm Hold Unscented Hairspray along the length of the braid.
